Okay… I know I said I was back and ready to post weekly again and then literally disappeared for a month BUT it’s for good reason I promise. Don’t be mad :,)
Certification Update
Good news #1– I passed my exam and am officially a Certified Interior Design Professional! I am proud of this accomplishment, am excited to proceed with LEED exam preparation, and cannot WAIT to show off my skills and artistry in future projects.
Explanation (or Excuse…):
SO. I was definitely ready to get back to posting weekly again until I talked to one of my dear friends about this blog. She is extremely savvy with these things and works for a company that actually started as a blog (super cool!!!), so I value her opinion deeply. She suggested maybe looking into different platforms for my page that would better suit it. I started doing some research on my own and thought this would be a great idea. Additionally, I just finished up a mentorship program I was a part of over the past 6 months through AAPIDA (a design org that I am part of), and HE suggested looking into other platforms too. That’s when I realized maybe it was a good idea to switch to something more modern and that fits more closely with my page. Enter my new platform of choice: *drumroll*… we’re moving to Substack!
Next Steps
This Friday (aka tomorrow), I will be switching over all of my posts to the new platform. This will be my Substack “soft launch”, and then the following week will be my official debut with the new platform! I hope you all will join me there, and I appreciate all of your support in reading my content. I enjoy writing and am passionate about interior design, so this blog has become special for me. THANK YOU ALL ❤
Side Note
I’m rebranding soon as well 🙂 I hope to have the new design and feel complete by the summer so that I can do a sort of “brand launch” post that shows off all the new tasty visuals. I will also be testing out some new post structures, so please share your thoughts on what style/format you all like the best.
Last Thing… New Project
My big sign off and teaser to hopefully entice you all to follow me to my new page is that I have a new project that is dear to me. My mom is redoing her kitchen for the first time ever! I will be documenting the process and giving a little update in the coming months, so expect to hear a lot about that 🙂 Additionally, at the end of the project I will be writing a guide on how to complete a kitchen renovation that is quality at an affordable price— something that I think is important in these trying times and that I would love to provide my expertise on for the masses! Stay Tuned 😀
